How to record a zoom meeting with/without host permission?

- Without Host Permission

By default, only the host of the video call is allowed to record the meeting in Zoom. So it will be inconvenient when you want to record an important video call while you don’t have the host permission. We recommend a screen recorder, Filmage Screen, the software mentioned before, which enables you to record any zoom meeting with ease.

- With Host Permission

Zoom is a web-based video conferencing tool with a local, desktop client and a mobile app that allows users to meet online, with or without video. You can easily record a Zoom meeting if your account has permission.

Step 1.Start a Zoom meeting when ready, and click on the Recording button;

Step 2.When you need to pause or stop recording, just simply click on the Pause / Stop button;

Step 3.Once recording is complete, the file will be converted and saved in mp4 format. The recorded files will also pop up under the Zoom folder;

Step 4.Unable to locate your file? Open the software, click on Preferences.... Choose Recording, once it opens you will find the recorded files.

Recalling each and every point that was discussed during the meeting can be difficult, especially when the meeting covered more than one topic. Instead of taking notes, you can record your Zoom meetings and watch them whenever you need an important piece of information.

Moreover, recording a Zoom meeting will enable you to share the details that were discussed with your colleagues who couldn’t attend the meeting.
