Webinars can be used as an online conference with thousands of attendees, training courses, public discussions, or your workgroup team's remote meetings. The webinar participants can discuss, share desktop, invite other guests, or start polls in real-time. It's a good idea to record the webinar and view it later since the recording can store a lot of information.

Step 1: Download Filmage Screen Recorder

As to recording a webinar on Mac, Filmage Screen comes with several advantages. First of all, you can flexibly choose the recording area according to your actual demands instead of capturing the whole screen, which means you can record part of screen.

A task scheduler is also a wonderful tool in recording periodic events like online classes or webinars. You only need to click a small timer icon and set an appropriate screen recording duration to schedule recording. After it reaches the time limit, the recorder will stop recording automatically so that you don't need to wait for a long time.

 

Step 2: Set up your recording

First of all, please go to preferences to open Auto Mode for a normal webinar recording

 

Notes: 1. Please install BlackHole which enables you to record system sound before recording and use the latest version of Filmage Screen

2. To ensure a normal recording, please launch Filmage Screen at first, and then launch the browser and navigate to your webinar.

 

Then, click Screen to start recording in Recording Tools.

 

Choose System Sound & Microphone if you want to record both the participants’ voice and your voice or choose System Sound if you want to record only your voice. Then you can adjust the recording quality, fps and open the webcam at the same time.

 

Moreover, If you need to record the meeting at a specific time, you can create a scheduled recording task by clicking the Clock icon at the bottom.

 

 

Step 3: Record your webinar

After that all settings are well done, you can click on the big red button. Your recording will start after a three-second countdown. You can use Window Recording to avoid recording other activities on your desktop so that you can do other things even though you are recording your webinar.

 

To finish recording when the webinar ends, hit Stop. You can also use hotkeys to control the recorder. Press Command+2 to stop the recording and Command+1 to pause/resume.

When you end your recording, it will pop up the File List.

 

Step 4: Edit and save

On the File List, you can directly edit the video.

- Add subtitles

- Add annotations

- Add background music

- Record the voice-over

 

To save your webinar recording, you can export your video as a local file. Choose MOV/MP4/M4V/AVI and more formats, change the storage path, choose video quality and more detailed parameters.
